On November 30, 2021, our sweet Mom and Grandmother, June Bass, released her spirit unto God. Her family is saddened by her passing; however, they are grateful for her life and the love she gave to them. She was born on July 12, 1941, in the Brumley Community of Upshur County. Ms. Bass graduated from Winnsboro High in 1959. June work in the 1960s as a long-distance operator for Southwestern Bell. June retired from First National Bank of Winnsboro after 27 years of faithful service. She was a woman who loved the Lord with all her heart and enjoyed 20 years working in the nursery at First Baptist Church in Winnsboro.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Margie (Stevens) Brewer. June is survived by her daughter, Kim Mitcham and husband Robert; daughter, Pam Bass; grandchildren, Michael Mitcham, Cody Mitcham, Allexander Mitcham, and Allexis Mitcham; sisters, Jo Kinney and husband Al, Becky Talley and husband John, and Debbie Dodd; and her special four-legged fur grandbaby, Boo Boo.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Monday, December 6, 2021 at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. in the Perryville Cemetery.
