Leo and I were close friends in elementary school, we played almost daily. There were many kids in the neighborhood, on Avenues A, B, and C in La Marque. Everyone had bikes and we all had a great time, a much simpler time. In later years we went our own ways but we all had the memories.

Coach McDaniel was my High School Baseball Coach at Alamo Heights…Everything I learned about baseball, I learned from him. His competitive spirit taught me to be successful on the field and in life. I too became a successful High School Baseball Coach for many years. We stayed in tough throughout the years and shared successes, but I’m not sure if he knew I became an Athletic Director for NEISD in San Antonio this past year. I know he would have been proud…Love you Coach…thank you for the life long memories.
