Zemly W. Clouatre, a native of Brignac, Louisiana, born on February 21, 1935, to the late James and Lula Singletary Williams. Zemly passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on October 3, 2026, at the age of 91.
Zemly retired after many years of dedicated service to the State of Louisiana. She worked for the Louisiana State Police for three years and later devoted 38 years of service to the Louisiana Department of Labor.
She is survived by her children, Eddie J. Clouatre and Christy C. Bourgeois (Gordon J. Bourgeois); grandchildren, Nolie Delatte (Justin Delatte), Adam C. Bourgeois, Amber Ball (Cody Ball), Austin J. Clouatre (Jamie Clouatre), and Ahren Seaton; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Connie H. Clouatre; her parents, James and Lula Singletary Williams; sisters, Woodie Ferguson and Millissie Marson; brothers, Comer, Glen, Rex, Carter, Carl, Long, and Gene Williams; and three infant siblings.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Faithful United Methodist Church from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until funeral services begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Faithful United Methodist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faithful United Methodist Church.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge and St. Joseph Hospice for the compassionate care and support.
