William R. “Randy” Womack, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on June 23, 1952, in Bastrop, Louisiana, Randy was a longtime resident of Walker, Louisiana, and a man known for his kind heart, quiet strength, and deep love for his family.

Randy grew up in Mer Rouge, LA, and went on to earn his degree from Northeast Louisiana University. He built a successful career as a general manager for Home Depot in multiple stores across Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana. After retiring from Home Depot, Randy's strong work ethic and desire to contribute to his community led him to continue working with the Louisiana Workforce Commission until his second retirement.

Randy was happiest when surrounded by his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, cheering them on at their sporting events, birdwatching (especially his beloved hummingbirds and purple martins), tinkering in his workshop, and cooking delicious meals on his Big Green Egg. His calm presence and gentle demeanor made everyone feel at home in his company.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, James H. Womack and Sara Womack, his stepmother Bess Womack, and his brother, Mack Womack.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 45 years, Nancy Womack; his daughter Lauren Pierce and son-in-law Richard Pierce, his daughter Stacy Bizjak and son-in-law David Bizjak, and son Robert Bruner and daughter-in-law Betsy Bruner; grandchildren Ricky Pierce, Carter Pierce, Ryleigh Pierce, Heather Trevathan, Brandon Trevathan, and Matthew Trevathan; as well as several great-grandchildren and many other beloved family members and friends.

In accordance with Randy’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends of William R. Womack who prefer to provide a memorial contribution may do so. The family will use these to honor Randy's life and memory. Please continue to keep the family in your thoughts throughout this challenging time.
