ohn Tony Boswell Jr., born on May 9, 1944, in Durham, North Carolina, passed away on December 20, 2025, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Ramona, and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
John had a distinguished career as a Maintenance Supervisor with Whitney Bank, where he dedicated ten years of his life. His commitment to hard work was reflected not only in his professional endeavors but also in his proud service to his country, having retired after 27 years with the United States Navy.
In addition to his professional and military achievements, John was a valued member of the Fleet Reserve Association #371. He also actively participated in his community as a member of Meadows Chapel Methodist Church.
John’s passions extended beyond work and service. He was an avid golfer, who found great joy in the game. He also loved to take long walks, which allowed him time to reflect and enjoy nature. A fan of cinema, John would often indulge in the pleasure of watching a good movie, sharing this enjoyment with family and friends.
John Tony Boswell Jr. will be fondly remembered for his dedication to his work, his service, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
