Todd Joseph Granier, born in Baton Rouge and a resident of Gonzales, passed to eternal life on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the age of 57.
He was an exceptional handyman and had a long and successful career as an Industrial Refrigeration Technician working many years at both Kleinpeter Dairy and Process Refrigeration Systems. He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking and playing guitar in his free time. Any that were lucky to know him would describe him as hardworking, kindhearted, playful, energetic, and an entertainer. His door was always open to anyone in need. He was a wonderful storyteller and would have you holding your breath and smiling while hanging on every word. He was an incredibly loving father to his children and enjoyed giving them long lectures on compassion and good values while sitting in the driveway in his white Ford truck. He was a friend to all, and his absence will be felt with heavy hearts.
He is survived by his daughter, Alicia Granier; daughter-in-law, April Granier; grandchildren Lai Lah and Leland Granier; sister, Sheila Perrault (Louis); brothers, Brent Granier (Nancy) and Keith Granier (Sherry). He is preceded in death by his son, Adam Granier; father, Henry Granier; mother, Shirley Gautreau Granier; sisters Brenda Granier and Vanessa Prettelt, brother Kenneth Granier.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Jan 27, 7-9 pm at The Gonzales KC Hall, 230 S. Irma Avenue, Gonzales. All are invited to attend and share in remembering Todd.

So many memories... What came to my mind was a bunch of us in the white Ford driving to his Hunting Club camp. I remember we had bags of Doritos and were cutting up joking around. I'll miss you parrain. Maybe one day we can have another jam session...

It's hard to pinpoint one particular memory. Todd and I shared two children, several vacations, concerts, parties with friends, and so many day to day experiences during our marriage. Though we divorced in 1995, Todd continued to be there for me throughout the years and we remained friends. He was so kind to my children from a later marriage - they just loved "Coco" because he never stopped loving to play. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

I always loved seeing Uncle Todd’s smiling face. He was always so kind and so much fun to be around. He had the best jokes, the kindest demeanor, and a huge heart. I will also always be thankful to him for my Pretty Penny 🐶.
