Sharon Rose Scofield, age 85, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at her home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Sharon was born on January 6, 1940, in Buffalo New York, to Dr. John and Marion Montroy.

Sharon attended McGuiness High School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, receiving her diploma in 1957. After high school, she attended Hillcrest Medical Center School of Nursing in Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduating in 1962. She then went to Central State University, in Edmond, Oklahoma, to earn a bachelor’s degree allowing her to further her nursing career. In 1973, with children in tow, she moved to Wichita, Kansas to attend Anesthesia school at Wesley Medical Center. In 1975 she moved to Louisiana to start a career as a CRNA. After working many successful years in Opelousas, Shreveport and Baton Rouge, she retired in 2010.

As successful as her career was, it did not compare to her accomplishments as a single mother raising 4 children. Sharon was a loving and compassionate mother who cared deeply for her family. They will cherish every precious memory and will always hold dear her words of wisdom as they navigate life.
She will be remembered as strong, giving, and hardworking while providing consistent love and support for her family and friends.
