Sharon “Becky” Baron Doucet, age 77, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away June 14, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, precious memories, and a family who adored her deeply.

Becky was the kind of woman whose presence brought strength, yet comfort and whose love made any place feel like home. In her best years, a powerhouse and a force that only so many people are blessed to possess. Those who knew her will always remember her signature OPI red nail polish and her love for cheering on LSU baseball, simple joys that have become sweet reminders of the woman they loved.

Her greatest blessing and proudest accomplishment was her family. Becky was a devoted mother to her son, Lance Scott and his wife Jennifer, and her daughter, Holly Scott Seguin.

She was a proud “Granny/Ganny” to Morgan, Madison, and Mia-Bella Scott; Gabrielle Seguin Hebert and her husband Brant; and Grace Seguin. She was also blessed with the sweetest gift of becoming a great-grandmother to Blair Hebert.

Those who loved Becky will carry pieces of her with them forever: her sass, her laughter, the traditions she created, and the countless little reminders of her woven into everyday life. A glimpse of red nail polish will always bring a smile and a sweet memory of the woman who wore it so well.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and care teams at Our Lady of the Lake and St. Joseph’s Hospice, especially Dr. Barfield, for the compassion, dedication, and exceptional care they provided. We are forever grateful for the way they always placed Becky’s comfort and well-being first.

In lieu of services, the family asks that those wishing to honor Becky’s memory consider making a donation to the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana, supporting kidney disease awareness, research, and care for families affected by kidney disease.
