Ruth Marie DeWeese, 64, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, born August 27, 1961, passed away peacefully at her home with her beloved husband, Jack DeWeese II, by her side.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lilie Mae and Robert House; her parents, Mary and Charles Alexander; her brother, Richard Howlett; sister-in-law, Jean Howlett; and nephew, Brandon Howlett.

Ruth is survived by her husband, Jack DeWeese II; daughters Rose Howlett (Christina Billeaudeau) and Racheal Lee (Timothy Royals); son Aaron Howlett (Jessica Howlett); brother Robert Howlett (Nancy Howlett); and grandchildren Clair, Hayden, Gracie, Maddie, Wesley, and Savannah.

Ruth was a free spirit with an old hippie soul who loved flowers, motorcycles, music, and above all, her family. She spent her years wild and free, collecting memories like wildflowers along the way. From spontaneous road trips to quiet moments shared with friends who became family, Ruth built a lifetime of adventures and laughter with those who knew her best. Life may not have always been an easy ride, but she made the best of it, and in her own unique way, she usually landed on her feet. She had a gift for finding joy in the journey and surrounding herself with people who understood her wild heart. #LeaveHerWild. She now remains forever free, riding off into that endless sunset.
