Ronald “Ron” Gerard Loupe, 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, after a courageous six-month battle with cancer. Born on November 1, 1958, in Orange, Texas, Ron moved to Baton Rouge at a young age and proudly considered it his home.
He retired from ExxonMobil after 32 years of dedicated service. Ron had a deep love for college sports, especially LSU; enjoyed coaching basketball, and was an avid golfer.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Lethrim Webb Loupe and Ruby Ann Melacon, and his brother, Steven Joseph Loupe.
He is survived by his loving wife, Erin Loupe; son, Ryan Loupe; stepchildren, Jennifer Heritage, Matthew Heritage (Nicole), Christopher Heritage, and Zachary Heritage; and grandchildren, Kaeden and Harlee Loupe, Kailyn Smith, Brayden, Cameron, and Aubrey Heritage. He is also survived by his brother, Bryan Loupe; sister, Tonya Loupe (Ann Crumholt); nephews, Stephen Loupe (Brandy) and Jason Loupe (Mary Catherine), their children; and his four beloved dogs—Annie, Ellie, Ted, and Tucker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Most Blessed Sacrament, 15615 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70817, with a reception to follow. All who knew and loved Ron are welcome to join in celebrating his life.
