Roger Dale Peters, Sr. was born on July 23, 1949, in Sebring, Florida to Paul Roy, Jr. and Alice Mae Tomilinson Peters. He passed away June 4, 2026 at 76 years old. He is one of six siblings. He was a genuine and very giving man, who loved his family, his boys, and his grandchildren. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, who served in the War in Vietnam. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gonzales. Roger worked repairing all things, but mostly things that get cold and hot. He spent time employed by Racetrac Convenience Stores, Sullivan Oil Company, and running the family HVAC/R business, Peters Enterprise, LLC. with his sons. He loved fishing, fixing things, and having fun with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed camping and boating. He was an annual attender of the Wooden Boat Festival. If he was able, he loved helping people in need and had a soft heart for fellow veterans and the elderly. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Roy Peters, Jr. and Alice Mae Tomilinson Peters, his brother, Paul Roy Peters III, and his son, Brent Peters. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Bourliea Peters; his sons, Kevin Peters, Roger Dale Peters, Jr. and wife Rachel, Jonathan Peters, and Timothy Peters and wife Christina; his brothers, Karl Peters and wife Sandy, Jesse Peters and Kim; and his sisters, Jean Cooper and husband Gary, and Gloria Froliech and husband Jeff; his grandchildren, Joshua Peters, Maleki Peters, Ivy LaFleur, Sarah LaFleur, and Hannah Peters. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. The family welcomes you to his Viewing at 9:30am and Funeral Service at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 9, to be held at First Baptist Church of Gonzales, 1217 S Burnside Ave., Gonzales, LA 70737, with Burial Service at 10:00am, Wednesday, June 10, to be held at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 3488 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, LA 70460. The families prayer is that the remembrance of Roger’s life would be to the glory of his savior, Jesus Christ.
