Robert J. Clement, 83, went peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, with his family at his side on April 23, 2026.
Robert was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on July 21, 1942, to John and Evelyn Clement. He attended Holy Name and St. Dominic’s Schools and graduated in 1960 from Sheboygan North High School. Bob was a carpenter by trade and worked with various construction companies in the Sheboygan area, having been employed by Quasius Construction for over 25 years as a job supervisor.
On July 19, 1986, Robert was united in marriage to Deborah Dankwardt. Since being born-again in the spring of 1987, according to John 3:3 “…Except a man be born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God,” Robert has called Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana his home church. He carried a burden for lost souls and sought to take the message of the Cross of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world through Sonlife Broadcasting Network.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt in his free time. He was previously active in the Sheboygan Rifle and Pistol Club, Sheboygan Outboard Club, and the Sheboygan Yacht Club. As a finish carpenter, he left behind a legacy of beautiful craftsmanship for his customers and his family to treasure.
In 2019, Bob and Debby relocated to Prairieville, Louisiana to be closer to their daughter.
Bob is survived by his wife, Debby; daughter, Katy and son-in-law Stehl Thompson; and granddaughter, Susie Thompson. He is further survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and James Burke, of Sheboygan Falls, WI and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sherry and James Klasen, of Green Bay, WI, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, and two unborn grandchildren.
His family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Lacretia, his devoted home caregiver of over a year; Dr. Gene Thompson; Feliciana Home Health; and Clarity Hospice for the outstanding and compassionate care they showed to Bob.
A celebration of life will be held on May 2, 2026, at Crossfire Auditorium on the grounds of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Gabriel Swaggart will officiate. Interment will be in Sheboygan, WI at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
