Mary Louise Bourgeois Templet passed away peacefully on Thursday May 21, 2020 at OLOL Ascension at the age of 80. She was born on March 19, 1940 in Baton Rouge and graduated from Redemptorist High School Class of 1958.
A private graveside service will be held 10 am Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Mausoleum, visitation at 9 am; officiating will be her brother-in-law Deacon Jerry Braud.
She is preceded in death by her parents Percy and Mary Lee Bourgeois; brother Percy “P. J.” Bourgeois Jr., In laws John P and Lesley Templet, one grandson John P. “Buzzy” Templet.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years John L Templet Sr., children Mary and Sammy Simmons, John Louis “J L” Templet and Sherri, Gerard and Brenda Templet, Karen and Greg Solar, and Dale Templet; grandchildren Jeremy & Tressy Simmons, Chelsey Simmons, Jordan and Jennifer Simmons, Talon and Courtney Templet, Taylor and Courtney Templet, Tyler and Tiffany Normand, Erin and Tanner Sheets, Stephanie Templet, Chasity Moore, Amber and Brian Harrison; also survived by 24 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Taylor Templet, Tyler Normand, Jeremy, Jordan, Blaine, and Reece Simmons.

I won’t know what to do with myself when I can’t walk next door to see my mom. We have lived next door to her and dad for 42 years of our 44 year marriage. My kids always had her next door. I will miss her unconditional love.

Oh I remember during the summers of our teenage years we would go to Maryl Louise,s home and on Saturdays we would take the City bus to Third street and go listen to WINK Radio station and shop with our few pennies it was great Mary wS do
