Mary Babin Dupuy, 74, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister went peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, with her family at her side on April 25, 2026. Mary was born in Gonzales, Louisiana on December 30, 1951. She was deeply rooted in her Catholic faith and lived a full, faithful, and joy-filled life. Her faith guided her each day and shone through her kindness and love towards others. She attended East Ascension High School and was a long-time resident of Port Vincent, Louisiana. Mary was employed by Parker’s Supermarket for over thirty years. She most enjoyed attending St Joseph Catholic Church, reading, baking cakes, and spending time at family gatherings.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Dupuy; father, Dennis Babin Sr; mother, Rita Babin; sisters, Ina Babin and Theresa Jane Cole; and brother, Perry Babin.

She is survived by her son, Brad Dupuy and wife Tonya; daughter, Amy Stephens and husband James Jr.; grandchildren, Ashley Albritton and husband John Zachary, Vanessa Lee and husband Chris, Blaine Dupuy and wife Katie, Jessica Stephens, Brooke Dupuy, James Stephens III, Jacob Stephens, and Lindsey Stephens; great grandchildren, Aubrie, Emma, Wyatt, Nolan, Annistyn, Braxton, and Carlton (CJ); sisters, Linda Duplessis, Cecilia St. Pierre, Rose Pafford and Beth Brooks; brothers, Dennis Babin Jr, Carroll Babin, Anthony Babin, and Eric Babin. As well as many sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to her neighbors Frankie and Dianne Page and Peggy Savoy, as well as Hospice Compassus for the compassionate care they showed to Mary.

A ceremony celebrating the life of Mary will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at St Joseph Catholic Church, French Settlement, LA. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until mass at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at St. Williams Cemetery, Port Vincent, LA.
