Lisa Grider Bozeman, 63, of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on April 17, 2025.
Born January 10, 1962 in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was the adopted daughter of Kenneth Grider and Iva Jean Vanlandingham Grider. After graduating from Belaire High School in 1980, Lisa attended LA Tech, earning her degree in Chemical Engineering.
Lisa married Terry Edward Bozeman on August 4, 1984, at Florida Boulevard Baptist Church where they met. They were happily married for 40 years. After decades as a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church, Lisa and Terry attended Woodlawn Baptist Church for the last two years. She had an unwavering faith in God that she was unashamed to share with others.
Beyond her careers in picture frames and business ventures, she worked as a bookkeeper in various capacities. Lisa found the most joy in raising her children and spending endless hours at baseball, football, soccer and volleyball games watching and supporting all 3 of them as they played in high school and college. She had a beautiful gift of forming deep, lasting friendships with so many wonderful people and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. She always put others before herself and was fully invested and cared about the details in the lives of her family and friends.
Once she found a new pet, it had a hilarious name and a home for life, because she identified with the sacred relationship of anyone “adopted.”
Her favorite time of year was the family summer beach trip to Florida, where she would judge the drivers coming and going, people-watch and do her best to make everyone re-enact the same traditions year after year.
She was Gammy to 3 granddaughters who loved her dearly and couldn’t wait to go to “Gammy’s house”.
Lisa was exceptionally smart and had a witty sense of humor that wasn’t always politically correct, and she had a zeal for life that was infectious.
She is survived by her husband Terry Bozeman; her children Kellen Bozeman and wife Candace, Brennan Bozeman and wife Sarah, and daughter Conner Bozeman; grandchildren, Asa, Charlie, and Parker Bozeman; father Kenneth Grider; brother Randy Grider; nephew Cade Grider.
Preceded in death by her mother Iva Jean Grider.
Visitation will be held April 24 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm with the memorial service being held from 7:00 -8:00 pm at Woodlawn Baptist Church.
