Mr. Linwood Lyons, Jr., 30, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina transitioned on January 10, 2024.

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Lyons will take place on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home, 325 Nash Street, Rocky Mount, NC, beginning at 11:00 am.

The LJ Foundation: Supporting Families of Children Affected by Renal Failure

In memory of our beloved son, Linwood (known to many as LJ) the LJ Foundation serves as a representation of hope for young families navigating the challenges of renal failure. LJ was born in 1993 diagnosed with Prune Belly syndrome, also referred to as Eagle-Barrett syndrome, a rare genetic disorder characterized by the triad of deprived abdominal musculature, cryptorchidism, and urinary tract abnormalities. LJ's tender but strong heart gave him the intestinal fortitude to fight to live and thrive with such challenging health conditions.

Our mission is sincerely rooted in compassion and the aspiration to support families who face various complexities with infants and young children navigating the uncertainties of renal failure.

Our mission at the LJ Foundation is to ease the economic burden faced by families caring for a child with the complexity of renal failure such as extended hospital stays, frequent travel, and the myriad of expenses associated with supporting a child with complex medical needs.

Your support through generous contributions will empower the LJ Foundation to provide financial assistance for necessities such as accommodations, meals, transportation, and other essential support that families may require.
