Kyra Johnson was born on February 23, 1968 in New Orleans and passed from this life on Tuesday March 24, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at the age of 52 years.
Kyra was born to the union of James Collins and the late Patricia Johnson Collins. The family moved to California and lived there until Kyra was 14 years of age; them moved back to the Westbank of New Orleans. Currently Kyra was a resident of Baton Rouge; even with her health issues she worked for Burger King. She enjoyed making everyone laugh; and her passion was her family especially taking care of her grandchildren.
She is the beloved mother of Markisha (Termel Wilson), Kyraeil, Jercora and Kylaon Johnson; loving sister of James, Calvin, Kenneth Collins, Arshield and Phaedra Johnson; devoted grandmother to Tatyana Lemieux, Markel Wilson, Bria, Brieal, Brion Bell, and Chase Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at a future date.

Missing you Cuz: The Day I met you was the best day ever , it was the day I met my whole Collins side of my family well majority of them lol at the "We Are Family" Reunion... you walked up to me and gave me the biggest hug and said hey I am your cousin kyra full of life, it was like I been knowing you all my life.. we walked the strip and went to party that night but you and your sister always made sure me n husby was good! I will miss you calling n checking to see if me and family were good in Houston, I will miss your morning roll calls on facebook giving God thanks for another Day !
