Kitty Farmer Walker, age 83, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 25, 1942, in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Lessie Barret and Dwane “Dixie” Barret.
She was a resident of Whealdon Estates in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the time of her passing. Before that, she lived in Albany, Louisiana, and Metairie, Louisiana, where she raised her family and built lifelong friendships.
She was one of eight children, cherished sister to Margie Killian (deceased), Charlie Farmer (deceased), Josie Baxley (deceased), Joan Petrisko, James Farmer (deceased), Carolyn Schwarm, and Gary Barret.
She was the devoted mother of three children: daughter Brenda LaSalle (Patrick), son Brian Walker (Kim), and son Robby Walker, who preceded her in death as an infant. She was a proud grandmother to Michael LaSalle, Matthew LaSalle, and Payton Walker, and a beloved great-grandmother to Ellie LaSalle.
She will be remembered as a loving mother and one of the kindest souls you could ever meet. She had a gift for making people laugh and brightened the lives of all who knew her. Above all, she loved Jesus and lived her life as a faithful follower of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lessie and Dixie Barret; her son, Robby Walker; her sisters, Margie Killian and Josie Baxley; and her brothers, Charles and James Farmer.
Her family and friends will forever carry her memory in their hearts, thankful for the love, laughter, and faith she shared throughout her life.
