Dear Kelvin:
For now, my days are filled with sad goodbye days. And as hard as I have wished they’d go away they have stayed and it’s because you’re gone.
I’ll say, so long for now, my wonder-filled friend. I’ll see you soon. And remember, when I cross over, I’ll be looking for you. And you’ll be easy to find, for I’ll be listening for all your Catahoula dogs yelping at your side.

I know you were a wonderful and devoted husband to my sweet friend. She loved you so much and was so proud to be your wife! I remember the day I had lunch with her and she showed me her ring and told me you had proposed. I was so happy that she had finally found a man that was worthy of all the love she had to give. I know she will be waiting for the day she will be with you again.

Kelvin once smashed my car window with loose gravel. He asked to not go through insurance since he said he knew a guy in construction who could fix my windshield for free. I took him at his word.
I called Kelvin a few days later to no response. He never reached out. I reached out a few times over the years but to no avail. Ended up having to pay the cost of replacing the windshield myself when I was in some hard financial times.
Thank you for the life lesson Kelvin
