John "Lonnie" Granger, III, a resident of Albany, Louisiana died Monday, August 3, 2026 at the age of 50. He was the beloved father of Hayleigh Granger, loving brother of Shelly Lawson, and son-in-law of Linda Morris.

John had a heart of gold would help anyone. A strong man loved living off the land . He would climb the tallest tree and tell you right where that tree would land . The kids nickname him Tree Man because he climb like a monkey . He loved to pull cypress stumps from the swamp drag them to my house and work on in the barn making something beautiful from that cypress. He was a visionary could look at a tree tell you everything about it then would start carving it . He loved catfishing and wasn’t scared of anything go into dark muddy waters pull them out of a log…He was loved and he loved us . You will be missed dearly RIP John you home now walking on streets of gold .
