Jimmy "Jim" Edward Presley, 66, of Slaughter, Louisiana, peacefully departed this life on April 29, 2025, and entered into the eternal embrace of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born in Baker, Louisiana, and spent his formative years there before settling into Slaughter.
Jim's life was a testament to his unwavering faith and generous spirit. A devoted servant of God, he was known for his kind heart, warm smile, and simple lifestyle. He found immense joy in sharing his faith and supported numerous organizations dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through charitable works. His passion extended to sharing his musical talents, recording over 21,000 songs on the Smule platform (@J_E_Presley), connecting with and uplifting people from across the globe. His singing was a joyful expression of his praise to his Heavenly Father.
He leaves behind two children: Miracle N. Simoneaux (husband, Nathan) and Micah E.
Presley (wife, Brandi); six grandchildren: Blaine Gilbert, Jonathan Simoneaux, Lynn Simoneaux Cobb, Kade Parker, Kenna M. Presley, and Saylar N. Presley; and four great-grandchildren: Julian, Liam, Dexter, and Amelia, with a fifth great grandchild expected in August.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James E. Presley and Gwendolyn Presley Kerrens; and his brother, Johnny M. Presley.

Revelation 21:4: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
