A gathering celebrating the life of Jennifer “Jenny” Abbott Guitreau will be Wednesday 5 pm to 9 pm at the parish hall of St Joseph Catholic Church French Settlement.
Jenny was born on October 18, 1956 in Baton Rouge and departed from this life at her home on June 30, 2019 at the age of 62 years.
She worked with Paul’s Grocery Colyell; had served as an alderman for French Settlement; she was an avid reader and a caregiver, always helping others and her greatest passion was her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Walter “Bootsy” and Lorraine Abbott.
Survivors include her beloved husband Lawrence “Brother” Guitreau; children Dallas Avery (Curtis), Ryan Guitreau (Amey), Jonathan Guitreau, Chase and Victor Revaldo; siblings Jeffrey Abbott (Cindy), Barbara Lambert (Terry), Johnnie Abbott (Terrie), Simon Abbott, Wayne Abbott (Barbara); grandchildren Cole (Shasta), Andrew, and Alexis; great grandchildren Haley and Hunter; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and her canine companion “Nuit”.

I havent seen her in a while but we use to play pokeno together. She was a fun lady. She always talked about her kids and grandkids. She worked for me for about 2 months in Baton Rouge. She was also very smart and dependable.
