Janet Cambre Frederickson passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born in Reserve, LA to the late Edmond and Louise Cambre. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Daniel and J.T. Cambre; and sisters, Ruby Willicott, Virgie Hebert, and Juliet Herbert. She is survived by her loving husband, Allden Frederickson of 74 years; her sons, Richard Frederickson (Susan), Roger Frederickson (Sharon), Wayne Frederickson (Karen), and Glenn Frederickson (Lori); 8 grandchildren; Chad Frederickson (Jeni), Pamela McCrory (Carleigh), Ashley Brown (Matthew), Kevin Frederickson (Amy), Tyler Frederickson, Katherine Banta (Blake), Emily Perkins (Ryan), and Corey Frederickson (Heather); 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy who will miss her dearly.
Janet met her one-true love, Allden, while crossing the Mississippi on the Algiers Ferry; they called their 74-year marriage a “Ferry Tale”. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and sons, every summer taking camping trips to the National Parks and various historic sites throughout the country. She loved family time making meaningful family traditions and gatherings. She had a soft spot for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; hand making them Baby Blankets, Christmas Stockings and Ornaments. She was an avid reader, and loved making puzzles, playing cards and scrabble with family and friends.

Memorial Service:
A Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday April 20th, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 15208 LA 73, Prairieville, LA. Mass will follow at 11:00.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, St. John Evangelical Church, or a favorite charity of your choosing.
