He was born on July 20, 1942, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and lived a life rooted in love for his family, devotion to helping others, and simple joys. He was a man who found great happiness in music, often filling the room with songs that reflected his spirit and brought comfort to those around him. Whether listening, sharing, or simply enjoying a melody, music was a constant and meaningful part of his life.
Above all, Jackson was deeply dedicated to his family. He cherished every moment spent with them and took pride in the relationships he built and nurtured over the years. He loved watching his LSU Tigers play football, except, of course, when LSU played Alabama! His love was steady, his presence comforting, and his legacy one of unwavering devotion to hard work and love of country. He served proudly in the United States Army.
Jackson will be remembered for his humor, compassionate heart, his love of music, and the deep bond he shared with his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
John 14:1-3
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
