Hershel Joseph Falcon of Baton Rouge, LA passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 15th, 2025, at the age of 72 at home with his loving wife by his side. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Born on July 29, 1952, in White Castle, La, he attended White Castle High School, where he met the love of his life. In March 1974 he married Dale Barbier and over the following 51 years, they shared a beautiful life together.
He spent 40 years as a Distributor for Matco Tools and was always willing to help when there was a job that needed to be done. If anyone needed to borrow a tool, a trailer, or just someone to help out, Hershel was the man they called.
He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and LSU baseball, but his true passion in life was his family. Sunday dinners, family vacations, and just being with his children and grandchildren would always bring a smile to his face.
He is survived by his loving wife Dale Barbier Falcon; daughter, Lindsey Johnson and husband Brandon; son Lance Falcon and wife Jamee; grandchildren Parker, Lily and Mina Johnson, and Allison and Jude Falcon; sisters Deborah Barbier and partner John Marque Jr. and Lisa Brooks and husband Steve; brothers Ben Parker and wife Kara, and Dwight Falcon and wife Pamela; stepfather Richard Parker; brother-in-law Al Barbier and wife Annette, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lydia Ann Parker and Lester Falcon, mother-in-law Elmina Landry Barbier and father-in-law Allison “Sonny” Barbier; brother John Falcon, brother-in-law Gerald Barbier, sister-in-law Maureen Anastasio and brother-in-law Dennis Anastasio
