Gary Lynn White, age 67, of Walker, Louisiana passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Debbie Shanks White; two daughters, Crystal Mills (Ellis) and Brandy White; and a son, Cassius White. He is also survived by his brothers, Huey White, Jr. (Debbie) and Darryl “Petey” White (Lisa); and grandchildren, Katlyn, Anabel, Brittany, Charles, Maverick and Nova.
Gary was preceded in death by his son, Gary R.S. White; two sisters, Joann Price and Debbie Darlene White; a brother, Rickey White; and parents, Helen Payne White and Huey White Sr.
Gary was a resident of Walker, Louisiana and worked as a Millwright for most of his career, retiring from Honeywell Technologies in Geismar as an operator. His passion was taking care of his family but also especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved helping others fix their small engines, always available and generous with his time. Gary was a stickler for the upkeep of his yard and prided himself on its appearance. He was concerned about things being done correctly and focused on the details. He also liked to ride his motorcycle in years past. He always said he was a “Jack of All Trades but Master of
None.”
