Debbie Ann Landry passed away August 26th, 2026, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 58.

She was a native and resident of Baton Rouge. As she entered middle school, her family moved to Prairieville, where she attended and became a 1985 graduate of East Ascension High School. While establishing her musical career, she attended and graduated from photography school. Her eye for detail was unmatched in many of the photos she took.

For the last 34 years, she followed her calling playing guitar and singing as a solo artist, in duos, and as the leader of the DLB (Debbie Landry Band) within the Greater Baton Rouge Area. She also performed all over South Louisiana, including a 15 plus year run playing for the New Iberia based restaurant Clementine. She was a true force of nature, and it showed in her passion for playing music for so many adoring fans. From Janis Joplin to Robert Plant, from Alicia Keys to Tracy Chapman, nothing was off the table for her to perform and she had an uncanny ability to make cover songs her own.

In 1995 she also released a CD of original songs with her former duo partner Jolie Mosby, titled "Waiting on the Rain”. She is also a member of The Caterie alumni.

She is survived by her husband Blayne Coupel, sister Denise McFarlin (John), and brother Dean Landry (Julie).

She is preceded in death by her parents Dennis Landry, Jr. and Peggy Mire Landry.

Services will be held Thursday, September 3rd,2026, at St. John Catholic Church in Prairieville. Visitation will be from 3:00PM to 4:30PM with mass to follow. A private burial will be held at a later date.

A memorial tribute will be held on Sunday October 25, 2026, at Icehouse Tap Room in Baton Rouge.
