Deanna Jane Huber, an unconditional loving wife, mom, and mawmaw was a resident of Gonzales, LA and native of Moline, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 16, 2025. She retired from the State of Louisiana – Office of Risk Management and was also a Notary Public. She is survived by her loving husband of over 40 years, William “Billy” Huber, Daughters Andrea (Brian) Simoneaux and Tammy (Sam) Belleau, Sons John (Karla) Blaise, Bradley (Lorie) Blaise and Robby Huber. Grandchildren: Savannah (Emily) Benoit, Ryan Simoneaux, Trae Simoneaux, Lauren (Kole) Lovett, Brandon (Shelbi) Belleau, Shawn (Leanne) Blaise, Logan Blaise, Brian (Haley) Blaise, Brittany (Adam) Brinkman, Ashley Huber and Trace Huber. Great Grandchildren: Collin, Carlie, Holden, Weston, Madi, Meilani and Grayland , Sisters: Sally (Eric) Johnson and Gloria Graham, Brother and Sister -In Law Dalton (Sue) Huber and her nieces and nephews who were like children: Joe (Tony) Graham, Amanda (Bryan)McClinton, Aaron (Shelby) Johnson, Eric Johnson III, Tammy (Billy) Threaton and Jani Huber as well as countless other family members and friends who were as family. She is preceded in death by her parents John & Dorothy Mahaffey and Willard J. Graham, Brother and Sister-in-law Willard and JoAnn Graham, Brother-in-law Danny Huber, grandson Austin Huberand dear friend Huette “Sonny” Cammack.
Deanna loved God and her family above all. She enjoyed all things to do with cooking, which included gardening and canning fresh fruits and vegetables. Every morning and throughout each day you would find her watching the birds at the feeders and always reminding her children and grandchildren that after she passed, they could find her in every bird or butterfly they saw as a reminder that she was always with thembecause she was part of our hearts.
There will be a private graveside memorial at a later date for immediate family only. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. Jude Children Hospital, the American Macular Degeneration Foundation or any Military, Fire, Police or Rescue Department.
The family would like to give thanks to the entire staff at OLOL St. Elizabeth Hospital including Security by The Gonzales Police Department, Pinnacle Hospice, Acadian Ambulance Service, The Galvez Fire Department along with a very special thank you to Dr. Hyduke.
