David Edwin Landry passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, at the age of 65, surrounded by the loved ones who meant so muchto him. David was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on December 24, 1960, and made his home in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Being a devoted and loving husband of 41 years to Cindy Landry, he will also be remembered as a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son-in-law, and friend to many.
As a child, David was rambunctious and full of life. He was always outside playing with the neighborhood kids. He especially loved going fishing at his Uncle Norris' camp at Lake Verret. One day, tired of waiting for permission, David decided to take matters into hisown hands. He hopped on his bicycle and rode five miles to Uncle Norris' house just to let him know that he wanted to go fishing. That adventurous spirit and love ofthe outdoors stayed with David throughout his life.
David dedicated his career to working as a commercial electrician, a trade he took great pride in. Outside of work, he found joy in the things he loved most, including fishing, spending weekends with friends around a fire, watching NASCAR, and building model airplanes. He was a member of the Red Stick RC Flying Club.
Above all else, David loved his family. He cherished spending time with his daughter, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He would always come up with surprise activities, like rollerblading in high winds with an umbrella, riding everyone a mile down the creek on the 4-wheeler, or making two-foot bubbles for the grandchildren with Cindy's last bottle of Dawn dish soap! David was the kind of person who was always there when his family needed him, giving his time, his help, and his love without hesitation. The memories he created with his loved ones will be treasured for generations to come.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Cindy Bordelon Landry; his daughter, Brittney Lea Landry; his grandchildren, Angela Chandler,Joseph Chandler Jr., and Mikayla Renee Flynn; his sisters, Brenda (Landry) and her husband, Tommy Guidry, and Peggy (Landry) and her husband, Robert Wagley; his brother-in-law, Pete Brocato; his nieces and nephews; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Godfrey Benoit and Dorothy Roger Landry;his sister, Suzette (Landry) Brocato; and his brother, Ramsey Landry.
We will forever cherish our time spent with David, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Until we meet again, rest peacefully, David. You were loved more than words could ever say, and you always will be.
