Charlotte B. McCrary died peacefully in her sleep on the morning of July 21st, surrounded by her loving family at The Butterfly Wing of the Hospice of Baton Rouge. Charlotte, better known as “Dee Dee”, was born on April 14, 1941, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Charles H. Bergeron of Napoleonville, LA. She grew up on Hardtimes Plantation in Napoleonville. She was a graduate of Assumption High School & Louisiana State University. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Douglas McCrary; her four children and their families-Doug McCrary Jr. and his husband Paul Chiocco of Seattle; Paula Keith and her husband Whitney; of Ft. Lauderdale; Chris McCrary and his wife Jennifer of Shreveport; Marty McCrary and his wife Claesi of Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Baton Rouge on Friday, July 24th with visitation at 9:00, Mass at 10:00, with a reception to follow at the PAC. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
