On behalf of the family, we thank you for visiting the campaign memorial page. We appreciate memorials made in their memory. Please also take a moment and share a personal memory that will help them in their grief journey. And on the left side, please share this page via your social media. They will sincerely appreciate it.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends of Braden Mark Wilson who prefer to provide a memorial contribution may do so. The family will use these gifts to honor Braden's life and memory through Braden Wilson Medical Fund, or Baden Wilson Memorial Scholarship. Please continue to keep the family in your thoughts throughout this challenging time.
Braden Mark Wilson, our warrior and superhero, left this earth at age 17, on October 28, 2023, to claim his wings and be with Jesus. He taught us that the quality of life and ability to make a mark on this world exceeds the time you are granted to live it.

We were blessed with the presence of this angel on earth. We will miss running our fingers through his curly hair and kissing those cherub cheeks. He loved to watch lights dance on his walls and change colors. He delighted in personal spa time attention, getting baths, facials, and foot rubs from his caregivers. Often, he would reward such affection with a rhythmic voice of approval. He loved having his sister help with baths and climbing into his bed or chair with him. He would always open his eyes when he heard her voice. The bond between this brother and sister will forever be cemented in love.

It was an honor to be chosen as his earthly family - his loving sister, Laila Grace Wilson, and his parents Brad & Kodi Wilson. He is also survived by grandparents Richard & Debby Wilson (Wichita, KS) and Tom & Susan Betschart (Ashland, KS), and great-grandparents Stan & Lavon Wilson (St. Joseph, MO). Aunts & Uncles; Justin & Shala Underwood, Brian Sauser (Lawton, MO), Shane & Jenny Betschart (Ashland, KS), Brian & Jenny Wilson (Parker, CO), Brent Wilson & Kayla Meek, Scott & Patty Wilson (Wichita, KS), Jodie & Brad Thomas, Shauna & Allison Smith (Omaha, NE), Cody Betschart & Perla Alarcon (Aurora, CO). Cousins Paxton Sauser; Huck Underwood; Peyton, Ethan, Gentry, Lance & Zack Betschart; Brecken & Grayson Thomas; Tristen Rivers; Carter, Aubrielle, Ethan, Koehn, Knox, and Gabriel Wilson.

He was preceded in his race to heaven by great-grandparents James and Ruth Patee (St. Joseph, MO), Curtis & Mary Catherine Rinehart (Ford, KS), Stanley & Phyllis Vogel (Wright, KS).

His entire family is grateful for the nurses, doctors, therapists, teachers, caregivers, pharmacists, and providers who demonstrated an obvious love and care for our boy. We are grateful for the love and support from family, friends who are family, our church family, legislators, support agency professionals and fellow special needs families who have supported our journey. Special thanks to his best friend, nurse Josh Mougeot, Rhosheca Drewery, Shebra “DeShan” Givens, Terralisa Porter, Gwen Breaux, and Ashley Woodson who gave us extra years with Braden due to their daily love and care.

Braden taught us to BEE-lieve. Our “B” was quite an example of a real-life bumble bee. Science says that those tiny little wings aren’t enough to support the fat little body of the bee. But God says the bumblebee can fly, and so he does. Fly high little bee, until we see your restored body in heaven, we will miss you all the days we are apart from you on earth, and we thank you for all you taught us.
