Betty Watson -"Mama Betty" Born April 9,1929 in Osceola Arkansas passed away August 11,2025. Betty spent her life as a Mother, Grandmother and housewife. She moved to Ethel after she was widowed but lived in Baton Rouge, False River and Port Allen. She spent many years helping with grandchildren and great grandchildren in younger days.
Betty is survived by her children Shere Webb, Connie Mabile and Sam Watson (Tracy). Grandchildren D.C (Darryn) Curry, Amanda Alexander and her husband Chancy, Casey Bridges, Opal Webb and Destiny Watson. Numerous great grandchildren and her very important companion and best friend “Tracy the Dog” who spent every moment if every day by her side.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Watson Sr. , and her three grandsons, Dustyn, Jeremy and Rustyn Varner.
Mom was very independent and enjoyed the fact that at 96 she could still stay alone. The past 10 weeks have been hard, but in the end she was able to go home and be with her “Tracy” and see all her family. A long 96 years on this earth.
There will be no service at this time.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends of Betty Watson who prefer to provide a memorial contribution may do so. The family will use these to honor Betty Watsons life and memory. Please continue to keep the family in your thoughts throughout this challenging time.
