It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the
peaceful passing of Angie Boeta Maranto Dugas on June 11, 2026. Angie departed this
world as gracefully as she lived her life, surrounded by love and under the
compassionate care of Pinnacle Hospice at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical
Center.

Born on March 25, 1929, in the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Angie was a
cherished daughter of Dominick and Josephine Maggio Boeta.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Steve, Russell, Dominick, Jr., Sammy, and Vincent Boeta, and sisters, Virginia Berthelot, Antoinette Maranto and Mary Agnes “Nanny” Boeta. Her journey through life was also shared with her beloved husbands, Paul F. Maranto, Sr. and Hubert J. Dugas, as well as her son, Paul F. Maranto Jr., who preceded her in death.

Angie’s legacy is lovingly carried forward by her surviving children, Ronald
Joseph Maranto (Lauralyn), Mary Frances Maranto, John Michael Maranto (Tommie),
and daughter-in-law, Kitty Maranto. Her spirit and joy continue to shine through her
grandchildren, Stefanie Maranto Cascio (Michael), Drew Paul Maranto (Melissa),
Angeline Elizabeth Maranto (Dustin), Kacy Maranto Allen (Blye), Kenna Maranto
Bofferding (Ty), and Lauren Maranto White (Chandler). Her great-grandchildren,
Michael Anthony "Press" Cascio, IV, John Rawlings White, Scarlett Drew Maranto, and
Rene Julian Maranto, along with numerous extended family and friends, remain inspired
by her enduring love and laughter.

She was a proud alumna of St. Joseph's Academy, a devoted housewife, and fabulous cook. She was especially known for her delicious Italian dishes which were never prepared with a recipe and always prepared a to-go plate for everyone to take home. Angie was a faithful and devout servant of our Lord Jesus Christ and prayed her rosary daily.

Angie’s zest for life was contagious, a quality most evident in her unique hobby of participating in radio contests. Her enthusiasm for the game saw her juggling two radios at times, her ears finely tuned for the sounds that signaled the opportunity to win. Over the years, she won an array of prizes, from cars and money to diamonds, trips, and concert tickets, which she delighted in sharing with her children.

Angie’s laughter was a beacon that drew people to her, making strangers
feel like friends and turning everyday errands, like grocery shopping, into joyous
gatherings. Her warmth and openness were her trademarks, with many friends and family often commenting that her laughter was indeed the best medicine.
Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Monday, June,15 2026, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Green Oaks Memorial Park. In reflecting on Angie’s remarkable life, her family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the Emergency, ICU, and Pinnacle Hospice nurses and doctors at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and extended family and friends who checked in on her over the years offering companionship and enjoying the laughter that was Angie's gift to the world. Most importantly, our family would like to thank Mary Maranto for her selfless exceptional caregiving she gave her mother for the past three years.
Angie leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and connection, teaching us
all the enduring power of a smile and a kind word. As we celebrate Angie’s life, we hold
onto the laughter and love she shared, cherishing her memory and the indelible mark
she left on our hearts.

May she rest in peace, her spirit forever echoing in our laughter and love.
