Allen Bennett Lax, 61, passed away from complications of Guillain-Barrer on December 8, 2025. He was born in Crowell, Texas on September 24, 1964 to Bob and Wanda Lax. Allen graduated from Broadmoor High School in 1982, went to Louisiana State University; and then started working at Distributors Oil Company.
He is survived by his wife Kimberly Taliaferro Lax and sons Brent R. Lax and Tyler B. Lax, daughter-in-law Danielle Lax, his mother Wanda Lax, his sister Jeri Lax Holmes, and numerous nieces and nephews and close friends who cherish his memory.
Allen is preceded in death by his father, Bob Lax.
Allen’s “Celebration of Life” will be January 10, 2026 at 11:00 am led by Rev. Dr. Dedrick Minor at First Christian Church, 8484 Old Hammond Highway, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
