Earl John Moran Sr., 64, went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2021 at 7:13 p.m. in his home surrounded by his loving wife and children after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 at The Church International in St. Amant. Visitation at 9:30 a.m. until service at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park, Prairieville.
Born February 1, 1957 in Gonzales. He resided in Gonzales where he married on February 21, 1975 to his bride of 46 years. He worked hard and raised three children. He worked as a pipefitter/welder and devoted the last nine years of his career serving Belco Industries.
He was a man of faith and a member of The Church International. He was a cowboy at heart and loved his horses, Penny and Sassy. He was a special man; an amazing husband, selfless father, proud Paw Paw, brother, son and friend to many.
Survived by his loving wife, Pamela Moran; mother, Hattie Moran; in laws, Larry and Carolyn Molliere; three children, Earl (Erica) Moran, Bonnie (Chris) Mire and Adrienne (Ben) Chaney; eight grandchildren, Harley and Reid Moran, Josiah and Micah Mire, Lucy, Bentley, Hayes and Ruby Chaney; siblings, Jimmie (Carol) Moran, Diane Williams, Sheron (Dawson) Fontenot, Danny (Pamela) Moran and Glen Moran; sister in law, Yvette (Keith) Maddie; dog, Buddy. Preceded in death by his father, Dewey Moran; brother in law, Ronnie Williams Sr.
He left an unforgettable legacy. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
