Candice (Candi) Guidry Clancy born January 17, 1972 in Metairie LA., died of pneumonia complications Tuesday, October 5, 2021. She was a current resident of Gonzales, LA and a native of LaPlace, LA. She was also a member of Praise Church in Prairieville, LA.
Candi is survived by, her son Donald (DJ) Mclean, grandson Braiden Mclean, mother Dorothy R. Guidry, sisters Roxanne Moyer and Theresa Madere, brother Chad Guidry wife Tonya, and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Candi is preceded in death by her father Wayne J. Guidry, and grandparents, and aunts and uncles.
Candi loved being a mom and a grammy. She loved being with her family and close friends. She worked in children’s ministry most of her life and had a passion to see children blossom.
Services to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Praise Church 36452 C. Braud Rd. Prairieville, LA. 70769. Viewing will be from 10 am to 12 pm with funeral services being held at 12.

Candi & I go back a ways. I used to teach her in Sunday school & Missionettes in church. I’ve been so blessed that we’ve managed to stay in touch throughout the years. That smile of hers could light up a room. A sweet, kind, generous, beautiful soul. She will be sorely missed & always hold a special place in my heart.
