Suzanna “Susie” C. Berey, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on February 18, 2024, at the age of 75. She was a talented actress who performed in numerous productions at the Baton Rouge Theater, Columbia Theater in Hammond, and Baton Rouge Dinner Theater. She was awarded best supporting actress of the year for her roles as the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz and Weazer in Steel Magnolias at the Baton Rouge Theater.
Survived by her loving husband, Samuel Haydn Berey; and daughter, Angel Nicole Edgar.
Preceded in death by her parents, Reid Champagne and Juanita Use’ Champagne.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave., Baton Rouge from 3:30PM to 4:30PM. The memorial service will begin at 4:30PM.
