Sam J. Puccio Jr., born in New Orleans, LA on September 3,1941, passed away peacefully on
May 10, 2025, at the Carpenters House in Baton Rouge. Sam was from Convent, LA and a
resident of St. Amant, LA. He will always be remembered and loved for his outgoing
personality. Sam was a retired boilermaker/pipefitter for J.E. Merit and Turner industries at
Motiva Enterprise. He was also a member of Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of St.
Amant, LA. Sam was preceded in death by his mother, Nelva Leblanc, Father, Sam Puccio Sr.,
stepfather, Joseph Leblanc, and sister, Betty Brignac. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60
years, Della Kraemer Puccio, his six children, Emily Lambert(erry), Steven Puccio (Paige).
Charles Puccio (Rochelle), Christina Anderson (Duane), Stacy Jara (Tommy) and Kathy
Leblanc (Lynn), his 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and lastly his sister Marie
Keller. The family would like to thank the loving staff of the St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter
House for the care and support. The visitation will be at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic
Church on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 9:00am- 11:00am. A mass will be held after by
Father Malthew P. Lorrain.
