Robin Jo Miles Pierre, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, departed this world on March 21, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service. Born on May 15, 1954, to Yvonne Goodo Miles and Joseph Miles Sr. Robin lived a life dedicated to enriching the lives of those around her.
Robin’s journey began in New Orleans, LA, where she attended Joseph S. Clark High School. She pursued her passion for education, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in education from the University of Arizona Global Campus. Her academic excellence was recognized by her induction into the esteemed Golden Key International Honor Society.
Throughout her career, Robin touched countless lives through her work at the U.S. Postal Service, St. Jude Community Center, Volunteers of America, St. Vincent de Paul Battered Women’s Shelter, Algiers Navy Lodge, and Texas Department of Health and Human Services. Her commitment to serving others extended beyond the professional realm into church affiliations at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, St. Ann Shrine, St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in New Orleans, LA, and St. Monica Catholic Church in Converse, TX.
Robin’s vibrant spirit and zest for life were evident in her many hobbies and interests. She cherished moments spent with family and friends, finding joy in sewing, drawing, cooking, watching movies, and tending to her garden. Her infectious laughter and quick wit made her the heart of every gathering, while her love for her fur babies and a good New Orleans po-boy brought her immense happiness.
Robin was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sr. and Yvonne, her beloved husband Raymond Charles Pierre, Sr., her siblings Arthur “Audie” Hills, Andrea Miles Lawhorn, Mark Miles Sr., and David Miles, as well as her niece Adena Lawhorn.
She is survived by her loving children Raymond Charles Pierre Jr., Ramona Maria Pierre, and Jason Michael Miles, her cherished grandchildren Nigel Pierre, Alyssa Pierre, and Jasmine Frank, her devoted siblings Marsha Miles, Joseph Miles Jr., Yvonne Aidoo (George Sr), Nikki Cloud, and Tony Goodo Sr. (Marvell), as well as her sister-in-law Doris Miles (late Mark Miles Sr), great-aunt Aline Heisser-Ovid, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
