A ceremony celebrating the life of Rev. Richie L. Driver will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, at First United Pentecostal Church, Denham Springs, visitation will begin at 11:00 am. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rev. Driver was born on March 21, 1945, in Wichita, Kansas and passed from this life on Sunday February 6, 2022, at the age of 76 years.
He was a resident of Walker, a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International for over forty years. He began his education with Friends University in Wichita, Kansas and completed his master's degree at Southeastern University; he retired as an educator with Livingston School System after 35 years. His passion was church life, and he will be remembered as a bible scholar. He was an avid sportsman following all types of sports and a fan of NASCAR.
Rev. Driver is preceded in death by his parents William A. and Mona Burfield Driver, brothers David and Ronnie Driver.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years Shirley McGee Driver, sister Marjorie Hall, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mary and Malcolm Graves, and Nathan and Bonnie McGee, also survived by nieces, nephews, and his church family.
