Loretta Thibodeaux Graham, 91, passed away August 6, 2024 at Garden View Assisted Living and Memory Care Baton Rouge. Loretta was born in Washington, Louisiana on January 16, 1933 to Lionel and Ella Thibodeaux. She lived and moved to various cities in Louisiana during her childhood and met the love of her life, Sam Graham, in New Orleans in 1949.

Loretta and Sam were married for 59 years and lived in and traveled to various countries including The Philippines, Thailand, England, Puerto Rico, and Canada. After Sam’s retirement, Loretta and Sam settled in Baton Rouge and started a home building company. Sam did all the building plans and Loretta was the decorator. She chose paint colors, carpet, fixtures and anything that made the houses sell.

Loretta was an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church for nearly 35 years. She helped with church meals, nursing home visits, and was also chosen to be a Deacon and participated in her Sunday school class. Loretta was an active member of the Tara Subdivision and held a Past President of the Tara Subdivision Garden Club position.

Loretta is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Graham; mother, Ella Thibodeaux; father, Lionel Thibodeaux; brother, Edwin Thibodeaux, and sister, Dorothy Ulmer.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Gale Sidenblad and husband Ray, and Jewel Graham; two granddaughters, Candice Cancienne and husband Chris, and Heather Wyrwich and husband Kay; four great grandsons, Jude, Hudson, Peyton, and Taylor.

A private service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home on August 10, 2024 at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
