Some stars shine brighter than others and whether it’s through their presence or their absence, they have a bigger impact on our world. Judy meant so much to so many while she was here and will be sorely missed now that she is gone. Judy Marie Pellerin (70) left us and went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 23, 2024. She was surrounded by a room full of her loved ones. It was clear to those who were able to spend her final hours with her that she was at peace. She will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Our Lady of Mercy Garden of Peace & Memorial Columbarium with Reverend Cleo Milano officiating the service. Judy was a devout Catholic and never wavered in her faith. Her selflessness and determination to always put others first, especially her children, was on full display to those who knew her. She walked in Christ’s shadow while on this earth and did so with conviction and courage. She was what many call an angel on earth. Judy was a friend to all who she encountered and a mentor to so many. She was uniquely one of a kind. Judy is survived by her son, Courtney Lalande and daughter-in-law Melissa Tallo Lalande, daughters Ashley Lalande and Heather Lalande; her four grandsons (her pride and joy), Harrison Lalande, Hudson Lalande, Henry Kiebach, and Wade Kiebach; and her former spouse, David Lalande; her sisters Karen “Kimo” Simon (Raymond), Alice Rowe Stansbury, Rhonda Pellerin Chenet (Tad), Tressie Cox Hamm (Bill), Phoebe Pellerin Achee (Philip), and Angele Pellerin Fowler (Mike); her brother Burley Joseph Pellerin, II; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved so dearly. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Burley Joseph Pellerin and Verna Denais Pellerin; and her brother, Carl “T-Boy” Pellerin. Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. A reception at the Parish Activity Center will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church – 445 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70806
