John David Buckley was born in Peoria, Illinois on the morning of July 20th 1969. He took his first breaths as the first man stepped foot on the moon, this started his love of the moon and stars. He lived to be 55 years old before he passed away unexpectedly at his home in Baton Rouge on the evening of September 22nd, 2024. He was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
He is survived by his wife Beth, their two children, their oldest daughter Megan, her husband Dane and his granddaughters Katie and Ellie. As well as their youngest son James. He is also survived by his parents Thomas and Martha Buckley, his sister Dawn, her husband Brett, and his brother David, his wife Geri, their two sons and grandchildren. As well as many more family and friends.
John worked over 20 years with the DOTD, he had many certifications as well as ran many of his own businesses.
The family will be holding a memorial zoom service with the kingdom hall of Jehovahs witnesses.
