Dorothy Nicole Thomassie (Nikki) was born on May 16, 1988, in Covington, LA to Suzanne Rainey. We were blessed with her presence until God called her home on January 25, 2022. Raised as a member of the Catholic Church, Nikki was baptized at St Jean Vianney Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA.
From an early age, it became obvious that Nikki was a very caring individual who was fiercely protective of her family. Nikki was always generous with her time and kind to those who were most in need of it, especially children and the elderly. In her adult life, Nikki often spent time providing elder care and later in life found joy in cooking. In the family, Nikki was always the first to suggest taking pictures and posing for them. She never came to a party; the party always came with her. Of all of her accomplishments, Nikki was most proud of her three beautiful children, whom she affectionately referred to as β€œMe and my three.” Nikki was a light to everyone she met, and like many of the most beautiful and brightest lights, she was gone far too soon.
Nikki is survived by her three children Aaliyah Marie, Kori Lynn, and Bryson Thomas, her mother Teresa Suzanne Thomassie, her sisters Jennifer Lynn Hawkins, Rebecca Teresa Thomassie, and Fran Thomassie Frances, brothers Joey Thomassie, and Chris Thomassie, Godparents Jonathan Thomassie, and Merrill Thomassie along with her aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her father Clifton Joseph Thomassie Jr., Grandmother Dorothy Ann Rainey, Grandfather Walter Prentiss Rainey Sr., and Grandmother Gladys Thomassie.
The Wake and Mass Funeral Service will be held on February 2, 2022., visitation at 9:30 am, mass at 10:30 am at St Jean Vianney Catholic Church 16166 S Harrells Ferry Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
