Barry C. Hofmeester, 81, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2023. Barry spent most of his life as a sheet metal and construction worker and retired from his ownership of B & B Metal several years ago. He enjoyed spending time with his family and time in his shop. Barry was a member of Parkview Baptist where he served as a Deacon and spent time after retirement as a maintenance worker.

Barry Hofmeester was preceded in death by his parents, Cornelis “Dutch” Hofmeester, Jr. and Hilda T. Hofmeester, his sister, Cornelia “Nita” Roy and his grandson, Justin Mark Peeples.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Hanna Hofmeester, his four daughters and spouses, Barrie and Bob Savoie, Brent and Clint Taylor, Buffy and Jason Koenig and Blayr and Nathan Drumm, his three sisters, Marsha Jacob, Rhonda “Roni” Patin and Paula D’Antoni, his grandchildren, Natalie Speidel, Nicholas Savoie, Jordan Peeples, Monica Koenig, Austin Koenig and Philip Koenig, along with his great grandchildren, Thomas, Oliver, Ivy Faith and Emmett. He also leaves behind his Jack Russell Terrier, Sadie, who was by his side to the end.

Visitation for Barry Hofmeester will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Parkview Baptist Church, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with a service to follow. Pastor Merlin Liberman will preside.
